July 2 2000, Sunday, 4pmVISIT TO PUBS ON THE KING'S ROAD & CHELSEA VILLAGE STROLL with KISA large crowd - all of them KIS
members, will enjoy a summer afternoon discovering a modern marina with a
helicopter-pad on The Thames, an old cemetery, a very modern hospital and
Chelsea football village & stadium amongst many other things. You will get a
chance to stop off for a rest and/or drink (no need to drink alcohol) at several
pubs on the King's Road - a shopper's paradise, including a famous
"watering-hole" once used by Henry VIII. And nobody will want to miss getting a
photograph taken outside the pub with one of the longest names in London!
For members - still around at the end of this free educational tour, there will be several "surprises." More information on these surprises will be e-mailed to members nearer the time! No need to reserve a place, just turn up and bring all your friends. Everyone is welcome but those who are not members will be required to join KIS, on the day, by paying £3. Meet at Sloane Square tube station ticket office (Circle and District lines), before setting off at 4.15pm sharp.
