March 12 2001, Monday, 7pmCHEAP "CHELSEA KITCHEN" MEAL with KISNot only is today "Commonwealth Day"
but it is also the second day of the "London Restaurant Week" (involving over
5,000 restaurants in the city). The plan, therefore, is to go for an inexpensive
meal on the King's Road with KIS (Kensington International Society) and its
Commonwealth friends. So, you are invited to meet everyone at Sloane Square tube
ticket office (Circle and District lines) to go to a popular restaurant called
"Chelsea Kitchen."
There will be a good selection of Italian, English and International cuisine on offer and meals are very reasonable, from about £3/£4. There is plenty of room for your friends to come along as it has an extensive basement. Latecomers go direct to 98 King’s Road. Look out for KIS volunteers wearing their circular badges and holding "How to enjoy London" promotional leaflets at the tube station. For details of forthcoming KIS events, always remember to click on http://www.kis.org.uk (their programme of events is freely available for anyone to see at the website).
