March 16 2001, Friday, 7pm-10pm approxINTERNATIONAL CULTURE EVENING IN CITY OF LONDON with GORDONExperience an enjoyable evening
celebrating different cultures. You will have a chance to enjoy performances
given by people of different nationalities, to try food from around the world
and to discover how the world's cultures have developed and grown. The idea is
that everyone brings food from your own country (compulsory! - please remember
this!). If you want something to drink, bring it along too (you might like to
raise a glass to film-maker Bernardo Bertolucci, who will be celebrating his
birthday today).
Those who wish can come in the traditional costume of their country (with maybe even a red nose on, considering it is "Red Nose Day"), so the more the merrier. Tell your friends. Location: St Andrew's Church, which is in St Mary Axe near the junction with Leadenhall Street (not far from the Lloyd's Building). Nearest tube stations are Bank, Monument, Liverpool Street and Aldgate. It is recommended that you check your map carefully for your best route if you are unfamiliar with the City. No need to book, but if you have a query, you may e-mail... to get in contact with the person that sent this event in.
