May 22 2001, Tuesday, 7pmBOOK PRESENTATION AND TALK ON "NINETEEN FORTIES" LEBANONCome to the Mayfair-based "English
Speaking Union" (ESU) for a book presentation and talk about Lebanon by Nabil
Saleh. His book is a novel and this event - coincidently, is on what would have
been the birthday of that great novelist, the late Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
The topic tonight is far from Sherlock Holmes and Baker Street as it is all about what Lebanon was like sixty years ago. Admission: £7 (to include a glass of wine). Location: The English Speaking Union, Dartmouth House, 37 Charles Street, London W1. Nearest tube station: Green Park (Piccadilly, Victoria and Jubilee lines).
