June 30 2001, Saturday, 8.30pmSPANISH TAPAS BAR, NORTH CLAPHAM PUBS, NIGHTCLUB AND/OR PARTY WITH ENGLISH, IRISH, SCOTTISH AND FRENCH, ETC.Tonight's event starts with visiting
a very, very popular Spanish bar and restaurant. Popular, not only because of
the many bottles of wine that have been drunk there - and now decorate the
place, nor because they have a wide range of tasty tapas but because this event
is being e-mailed to all subscribers (including Bronze). If only one percent
turn up, that would be about 28 people coming along to enjoy your company. So,
if you want to learn the difference between a Rioja, a Valdepenas and a Ribera
del Duero or want to pick up a glass or two of the wine produced in these
regions of northern Spain - or even want to "be picked up", come along for some
real fun.
Everyone welcome, especially if you enjoy the company of a lively group of about ten people who have been in Alton all afternoon shooting paint-balls at one another. How will you recognise them? Well, other than the fact that you might think they are speaking about four or five languages all at once, at least one of them will be: (i) wearing a blue cap on their head AND (ii) holding several white "How to enjoy London" promotional leaflets. So drop in, find us and say hello and come along to the nearby pubs. The tour of pubs will follow from about 9.30pm and will end with, those that wish, going to a nightclub and/or party, and hopefully both! Location: "La Rueda" Tapas Bar, 66-68 Clapham High Street, SW4. Nearest tube station: Clapham North (Northern line). Latecomers can phone or SMS text-message "Vodafone" mobile... AFTER 9pm, to find out their whereabouts and join them.
