July 14 2001, Saturday, 11am - 4pm"MAEDA GAKUEN" - JAPANESE FESTIVAL OF KARAOKE, DANCING, DRUMMING... AND EVEN SCOTTISH BAGPIPES!A venue located very close to the
tube station is promising you an afternoon of Japanese tastes, culture and
education. You might even learn some of the language - that is if you can follow
what the karaoke singers will be singing about in the singing competition that
has been organised. Entry to the competition is open to all, so people with good
voices should get along early to get their name down on the list.
We are looking forward to hearing the drums - and we are sure that the other 4,000 people expected will also want to hear the drummers play! It promises to be a bit special this year as it is a part of the Japanese Festival 2001. And why not end the day by heading off to a French restaurant, after all it is Bastille Day! Admission: £1.50 Location: Playing Fields (not the Sports Ground), off Queen's Drive, W3. Nearest tube station: North Ealing (Piccadilly line).
