double-bill is "Le Jour se Leve" (1939, 95m) which literally means, "the day
gets up." It is about a criminal in a room that is surrounded by police. This is
followed by "Pepe le Moko" (1936, 90m), which is a romantic film about a thief
who, after leaving Paris, heads for Algiers but finds himself uncontrollably in
love with someone.
