December 1 2001, Saturday, 8pm-3amFREE SEVEN-HOUR PARTY: WITH HUNGARIAN AND SCOTTISH FOLK DANCING, PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION, INTERNATIONAL DISCO AND LATE-NIGHT BAR. OH..., AND ALSO LIVE SALSA BAND!You are invited by tonight's host,
Gordon Beal, to his exciting seven-hour international party in a large hall, in
Hammersmith. You will have the chance to enjoy the company of up to 300 people,
from at least 50 countries. With this in mind, you are advised to come early to
find your friends and make new friends - before it gets too crowded! Maybe,
beforehand, you could visit the German Christmas Market that is on, close by
somewhere in Hammersmith! There will be an opportunity at the beginning to
learn, or simply watch, folk dancing (Scottish, followed by Hungarian) for about
90 minutes. As well as plenty of room to dance there is a large space for people
to chat and chill out in. The disco, with popular sounds from many countries,
will begin at about 10pm, before which there will be a small, live band playing
Salsa and Irish music. If you have a CD, with music - from any country, that
others might appreciate - bring it along for the DJ to play.
There will be a cash bar, until 2am. You will also want to see the http://www.HowToEnjoy.co.uk exhibition of enlarged photographs (showing some of Gordon's parties, from years gone by). The photographic exhibition will be on one of the walls at tonight's party. Gordon adds, "You are welcome to bring any friends interested to meet people from different countries" - which is made all the better with admission being completely free throughout the night. Directions from Hammersmith tube station (District and Piccadilly lines): Take Hammersmith Broadway exit, turn right, cross the bus station entrance - which is a narrow road, and a large hall called "The Emerald Centre", where the party takes place, will be on your right - behind a green metal fence. It is only one minute from the tube station and less from the northern entrance/exit (i.e. road) of the bus station. E-mail... to get more information, if required. Go to http://www.geocities.com/gordonsparty/index.html for a map of the venue.
