film that is screened in the afternoon, and this afternoon there are two such
films being screened in Hammersmith. The first film of this afternoon's double
bill is "Gabbeh" (1995, 74 mins). A Nomadic film about a father preventing his
daughter getting married.
The second film of this double-bill is the thriller "Kandahar" (2001, 85 mins), about a woman's journey to the Afghan city of Kandahar. Both with English subtitles.
