April 27 2002, Saturday, 8pm-3amSCOTTISH AND HUNGARIAN FOLK DANCING, LIVE SALSA BAND "LOS TEACHERS" PLUS INTERNATIONAL PARTY, WITH POP AND TRADITIONAL MUSIC FROM MANY COUNTRIESGordon Beal invites you to his
private, and very international, party in a large hall on Hammersmith
Roundabout. Over 300 people are expected, from many countries around the world -
so expect to see many traditional costumes and hear many different sounds. The
event starts off with Scottish folk dancing, which will be taught while the live
piper plays his bagpipes. It is easy to learn, so you will soon be twirling
others around the floor! Following this, there will be a display of Hungarian
dancing, with a dance troupe in traditional dress. The live salsa band, "Los
Teachers" will come on stage at about 9.30pm - to give party-goers even more to
dance about as they will teach everyone how to salsa. The international disco
will start sometime after 10pm.
So, if you have some interesting music on a CD, bring it along for the disc jockey to play. There will also be a cash bar until 2am. Directions from Hammersmith tube station (District and Piccadilly lines) or bus station: Location: "Emerald Centre" Hall. To get there take tube station's Hammersmith Broadway exit, turn right, cross the bus station entrance (a narrow road for buses to enter the bus station), and the hall will be on your right (behind a green metal fence). It is only one minute from the tube station. Telephone Gordon Beal on 020 8892 6865 or e-mail... (see website) for more information, if required.
