July 14 2002, Sunday, 2.15pm for 2.30pm start

JOIN GORDON, HELEN AND OTHER WALKERS FOR FREE GUIDED TOUR OF RICHMOND PARK, SURROUNDING FORESTS, GARDENS, ETC., FOLLOWED BY VISIT TO CAFE, OPTIONAL PICNIC... THEN, ALL-REVEALING VIDEO SCREENINGS OF PREVIOUS WALK AND PARTIES

Enjoy a 7km walk through beautiful Richmond Park with a large group of international students, teachers, etc. Walkers will start by heading, along the riverside, towards Richmond Bridge. Once here, Helen will give her first of several talks on the local area, the history, etc. Gordon, who lives in the area - very close to Richmond Bridge, will also keep you informed throughout the walk on what to see, photograph, etc. Next, it is planned for everyone to see the Isabella Plantation, King Henry VIII's Mound and Pembroke Lodge. At about 5pm, a stop will be made at the latter, at the cafe of Pembroke Lodge. Here, you will be able to select from a range of refreshments. Alternatively, you might like to picnic in the beautiful gardens - with stunning views, that surround the Lodge.

If so, ensure you have bought your picnicking foods and drinks before the walk starts. At some stage of the late-afternoon/evening, walkers will be invited to Gordon's flat for a screening of a video of his last walk (along Richmond riverside, to Ham House, Orleans Gallery, etc., and back to Richmond). There will also be a chance to see videos of his past parties, which he has hosted in a large hall in Hammersmith. Needless to say, all will be revealed on screen. Before and after the videos have been screened, light refreshments (fruit cocktails, coffees, teas, etc.) will be served. E-mail... or telephone 020 8892 6865 for more information, if required. No need to reserve - just turn up, maybe with a friend or two! Meet Gordon with friends at 2pm - near the WHSmith newsagents, just inside Richmond station. Tube / British Rail / Silverlink Metro Station: Richmond (District line, zone 4)
