July 20 2002, Saturday, 11am-2pmSARINA DE MAJO EXHIBITS HER CERAMICS AT MAYFAIR-BASED GALLERYToday is the last day to see the
five-day exhibition of ceramics by artist, Sarina de Majo. The first floor of
the Mayfair-based gallery is the temporary home to some two-dozen of her ceramic
creations, which include colourful bowls, plates and vases. One eye-catching
vase is the 23-cm high, "Medium Round Vase, White Flower, Grapes", priced at
£285 and which has already been sold. Our favourite ceramic, when we visited
earlier this week, was the "Large Bowl - Cyclomen", priced at £450, with its
blues and olive greens.
It depicts a flowering plant and pot.
Two other notable examples of Sarina's work are, "Open Bowl, White Flower,
Lemon, Pear" and the slightly larger, "Large Plate, Bottle, Bowl, Box, Fruit on
Dish, Diamond Border" - both plates and both priced at £350. The front cover of
brochure, promoting the artist's second exhibition at the gallery, shows the
28-cms in diameter plate, "White Teapot, Bowl, Butterfly Platter", which has
already been sold at £350. Hopefully, with this, we have given you some useful -
though brief, information on a plate, so go along for yourself and discover
more. You could return home with a purchase of one of Sarina's ceramics that
have not yet been sold... but are selling fast! E-mail... (see website) for more
information, if required. Location: Panter & Hall Gallery, 9 Shepherd Market,
London, W1. Tube station: Green Park (Jubilee, Piccadilly and Victoria lines).
