SINGLE-DAY EXHIBITION, "VOLUNTEERING WORLD", NEAR ANGEL TUBE STATION, PRESENTS OVER 60 VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS THAT OFFER WIDE-RANGING OPPORTUNITIES (CONSERVATION, ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING, HEALTH, INTERPRETING, WORKING WITH ANIMALS - BOTH DOMESTIC & NON-DOMESTIC, CHILDREN, ETC.) FOR VOLUNTEERS  IN PLACES SUCH AS AUSTRALIA, BELIZE, BOLIVIA, BORNEO, BOTSWANA, BRAZIL, BURKINA FASO, CANARY ISLANDS, CHINA, COLOMBIA, COSTA RICA, CUBA, ECUADOR, FIJI, GHANA, GRENADA, GUATEMALA, INDONESIA, LESOTHO, MADAGASCAR, MALAYSIA, MALI, MEXICO, MOZAMBIQUE, NAMIBIA, NEPAL, NICARAGUA, PANAMA, PAPUA NEW GUINEA, ROMANIA, RUSSIA, SRI LANKA, SWAZILAND, TANZANIA, TOGO, UGANDA, UKRAINE, VIETNAM AND WEST BANK (GAZA STRIP)

To be angelic means be like an angel and here is an event that could help you become just that! It is the single-day, annual exhibition called "Volunteering World", where volunteers can get information on a wide range of national and international organisations. The alphabetical line-up for this year ranges from African Conservation Experience to Youth for Development. Of particular note are: Pioneer Madagascar; Atlantic Whale Foundation (with opportunities in Spain's Canary Islands); the Oxfordshire-based conservation charity, BTCV, with opportunities in Grenada; CCUSA (CAMP Counselors USA) with opportunities in various American states as well as Australia, Brazil and Russia; Cross-Cultural Solutions (with opportunities to spend 2-12 weeks in far-flung places like China, Costa Rica, Ghana and Tanzania); Cuba Solidarity Campaign; Frontier, offering conservation work in Africa and Vietnam; GAP Activity Projects with English-language teaching opportunities in Fiji, as well as in over two dozen other countries; Global Vision International offering expeditions to places like Ecuador and Panama; International Nepal Fellowship; International Service, with opportunities to work in places such as Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Mali and West Bank (Gaza Strip);

 

MondoChallenge has opportunities to teach in Sri Lanka as well as within countries on several continents; Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign; Peace Brigades International which, for decades, has been "making space for peace" in Colombia, Mexico, Guatemala and Indonesia; Raleigh International's expeditions to Borneo and Namibia, as well as to other places; Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB); Skillshare International with opportunities in Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Swaziland, Uganda and four other countries; Teaching & Project Abroad with interesting-sounding voluntary opportunities in various countries, including Papua New Guinea, Romania, Togo and Ukraine and Trekforce Expeditions have opportunities for fundraisers to go to a number of places, including Belize and Malaysia. Each organisation exhibiting is actively seeking volunteers. So..., be an angel, take the decision to do some voluntary work and head to Islington for - what promises to be - an interesting and very educational event. Admission free.
