March 16 2003, Sunday, 6pm & 8pmANIMALS (NAMELY, COW AND HORSES) FEATURE IN DOUBLE-BILL OF CZECH FILMS, DIRECTED MASTERFULLY BY FILM DIRECTOR, KAREL KACHYNAHere is a chance to see two films by film director, Karel Kachyna - the first of two double-bills the director is having at the same venue (enthusiasts can pop along here, next Sunday, to see two other films by the same director). The first film, this evening, is I'm Jumping Over Puddles Again / "Uz zase skacu pres kaluze" (1970, 87 mins), which is about a boy's love of horses and horse-riding. The second film is the more recent film, The Cow / "Krava" (1993, 86 mins) and, as you probably guessed, tells the story of one man's dream of owning a cow.
Not only this, but love, relationships and laundry feature on several occasions throughout the not-the-first-Riverside-Studios-screening-of-this-enjoyable-film. We enjoyed it, when we saw it a number of years ago at the same venue! Both films in Czech, with English subtitles. Only £5.50 (concessions: £4.50), to see both films. Reservations can be made by ringing the box office on 020 8237 1111. Location: Riverside Studios, Crisp Road, London, W6. Tube station: Hammersmith (Piccadilly, District and Hammersmith & City lines).
