March 17 2003, Monday, 10am-6pmNICK DANZIGER'S PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION "A-Z ANGOLA" REVEALS SCENES OF ANGOLA AND ARE FOR SALE, TO HELP LONDON-BASED CHARITY, "ONE WORLD ACTION"We had a chance, on the previous Wednesday, to visit an exhibition of 26 unique images from Angola, which were taken in January 2003. They were taken by journalist, writer and photographer Nick Dazinger and show the people and places within the country, situated in the south west of the African continent. The photographer had given an illustrated talk at the Royal Geographical Society the night before, which we are sorry to have missed. But, thankfully, seeing the photographs for themselves - at a commercial art gallery - partly made up for the earlier missed opportunity.
The photographs are only on display until
today, so we recommend that you pass by and see them. They are available in three sizes,
all of which are framed: 16" x 20" (£400); 20" x 24" (£500) and
24" x 28" (£650). All proceeds go to One World Action, a charity based in north
London. You can also pick up a catalogue of the photographs, for a very nominal £4.99,
which also will help the charity continue its work. Telephone the gallery on 020 7493 7939
for more information, if required. Location: Berkeley Square Gallery. 23a Bruton Street,
London, W1. Tube station: Green Park (Jubilee, Piccadilly and Victoria lines).
