July 27 2003, Sunday, 11am-7pmNINTH "THAI FOOD FESTIVAL", IN BATTERSEA PARKJoin thousands of others at this, the 9th annual Thai Food Festival in Battersea Park. The admission price of a pound or two is good value because you will see, hear and smell many things (eating, though, will cost you several pounds extra!) and it stays open until dusk. Plenty of time to enjoy the music, dancing, martial arts, fruit & vegetable carving displays, traditional handicrafts, etc.
It is the time of the year when all the Thai restaurants in London come together to promote the foods, spices and delicacies from their interesting country. So, if you love oriental food, come along with a big appetite! Tube station: Sloane Square (Circle and District lines) then bus 137, which goes past Battersea Park shortly after crossing the River Thames. Alternatively use one of the train stations: Battersea Station and Queenstown Road.
