According to the leaflet we recently picked up, it is being billed as an annual festival of traditional dance. In fact, last year we went along to one of the two days it was on and thoroughly enjoyed it. This year, on the first day you can enjoy dances (of/with various types/groups) from: Armenia (Armenian Dance Theatre); Andalucia (Escuela de Baile); Egypt (Raqs Sharqi); Hungary (Balaton); India (Bharata Natyam); Japan; Mauritius (Ocean Beats); Poland (Tatry); Portugal (Iberian); Romania (Martisorul); Slovakia (Morena) and South Africa (South African Quadrilles).
The demonstrations are between 15-30 minutes long whilst the workshops last an hour each. So get you dancing shoes on and pay the INexpensive admission of only £5 for day ticket (£8 extra for to dance to "Florida" and caller, Gordon Potts, after 8pm).
