January 24 2004, Saturday, 10am-6pmUNA VEZ MAS (ONCE AGAIN) ENJOY <<VIVA ESPAÑAS>> EQUESTRIAN THEATRE & FASHION CATWALK SHOW ALONGSIDE OFFERS FOR FOODS, LANGUAGE COURSES, WINES, ETC., PLUS PLENTY OF INFORMATION ON VALLADOLIDS COURSES/TOURISM AS WELL AS SPANISH PROPERTY: APARTAMENTOS, CORTIJOS, VILLASToday is the second day of the three-day "Viva España" exhibition that celebrates everything Spanish. Once again we paid a visit to the first day of the event this year, and managed to catch the Fashion Catwalk Show and the Equestrian Theatre. Once again, we noticed that a lot of the exhibitors within the large expanse of Olympia's Grand Hall concentrate on Spanish properties - everything from apartamentos (flats) to large villas (houses). Which is no surprise, as the event organisers also run the "Homes Overseas" exhibitions. There are more than enough foods and wines for everybody to taste. You will even be able to book your next holiday - that is, if you plan to visit Spain.
And, as would be expected, there will be
courses on offer for Catalan and Spanish language-learners. We noticed this year that
there were several Valladolid language schools (including the city's university) being
promoted, on their own exhibition stand. And, not far away, was a stand with members of
the Valladolid Convention Bureau encouraging visitors to, "Asómate a
Valladolid." Go along and discover more. Admission: £12, or £9 if you buy in
advance from 0870 120 0332 (free for children under 16, if accompanied by an adult).
Location: Grand Hall, Olympia Exhibition Centre, Hammersmith Road, London, W14. Nearest
tube station: Kensington Olympia (District line).
