February 14 2004, Saturday, 8pmWIMBLEDON VENUE HOSTS NINETEENTH CENTURY CONCERT OF MUSIC, POETRY & SINGING FOR ST. VALENTINE'S DAY"Music is the Commons" is the name of a musical society, which was launched in 1986 and features the sounds of pre-1830s played on musical instruments of the day. Each month, from October through to May, the society's committee organises a Saturday evening concert in south west London. With this being St. Valentine's Day, an appropriate concert of Elizabethan and Jacobean love songs and poems has been arranged. Entertaining you this evening are: Jacob Heringman (lute) and Susana Pell (viol) along with the voices of Vivian Ellis and Brian Shelley. Promises to be both educational and entertaining.
