GREAT WOMEN POETS - INCLUDING POETS BORN IN ROMANIA & SCOTLAND - ON CONTEMPORARY POETRY TOUR OF ENGLAND
A mid-week evening is you chance to enjoy poetry by several female poets: Elaine Feinstein and Romania-born, Nina Cassian, alongside two Scottish poets: Carol Ann Duffy and Liz Lockhead. As a group, they have one date in London before they head on for two further performances - in the same week, in Oxford and Manchester. When they are not writing and reciting poetry, one is a Russian translator, another is a prolific author and satirist whilst the Scottish contingent of the group is made up of a tutor at Manchester University whilst the other, a trained painter. Go along and discover more in what promises to be a very poetic event.
