LAST DAY FOR SCENES OF BALI TO BE ON SHOW AT SYMON'S EXHIBITION, "FROM BALI THE ISLAND OF THE GODS" - IN ASSOCIATION WITH SINGAPOREAN ART GALLERY - ON VIEW IN CORK STREET
An exhibition that opened on May 5 2004 is, "From Bali The Island Of The Gods" which comprises works by that artist Symon. We missed him when we briefly visited the gallery over a week ago but saw some of his intensely colourful works that are on show. We were particularly interested in Bali landscapes, and were pleased when we came across Symon's large, oil on canvas, "Hidden Kingdom" (198cm x 108cm, £32,000). Other scenic pictures, which we saw on the day, were the two smaller, oil on canvases: "Quiet Lagoon" (87cms x 68cms) and slightly larger, "Love Lagoon" (105cms x 85cm). Each is priced at £5,000 whilst the prices for the other three dozen or so works range in price from several at £500 up to £28,000.
