May 23 2004, Sunday, 3pmCELEBRATE FULHAM WITH FULHAM SOCIETY AS IT ORGANISES GUIDED WALK AROUND FULHAM'S 111-YEAR OLD BISHOPS PARK & 1100s ALL SAINTS' CHURCH, WITH KNOWLEDGEABLE LOCAL HISTORIAN, KEITH WHITEHOUSEThe Fulham Society - during its current 10-day "Celebrating Fulham" festival, now in its second year and which ends tomorrow - is organising a guided walk around Fulham's Bishops Park and All Saint's Church. The plan seems to be to meet everyone at the entrance of All Saint's Church in Fulham, then to be in the good hands of knowledgeable local historian, Keith Whitehouse, who will lead the party of people - of all ages - around Fulham's 111-year old Bishops Park and 1100s All Saints' Church. Sounds like fun, especially if our current good weather keeps up! Another walk, several days earlier - which we attended, and which was also led by Whitehouse - was so educational and interesting that we decided that more people should know about this walk, the organisation, its committee and what it bills, as its, "programme of lively events." The walk allowed us to meet and talk with a variety of people (both local and from further afield), some committee members, local town councillors - both current and former, etc.
Come along and join us. Information on the
society itself will, undoubtedly, be available on the day. We - and they - all look
forward to seeing you there.
