June 5 2004, Saturday, 11am-4pmCHINWE CHUKWUOGO-ROY, COMMONWEALTH-RECOGNISED ARTIST ORIGINALLY FROM NIGERIA - NOW LIVING IN SUFFOLK - EXHIBITS PORTRAITS ALONGSIDE 'FLAMING RED' WONDERS OF FLOWERS, TREES & NATURE, IN HER "SEEING IN COLOURS" EXHIBITION AT GALLERY IN CORK STREETAnother exhibition, which ends today in Cork Street, is Chinwe Chukwuogo-Roy's "Seeing In Colours" exhibition, which shows a multitude of talents for capturing movements in her portraits alongside painting flaming and vibrant colours into her depictions of flowers, trees and nature. With such skills, it is probably no wonder that she was commissioned, a few years ago, to do a portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II, depicting the Queen as the Head of the Commonwealth, with recognisable Commonwealth architecture in the background. Go along and see her fine works on show. Well worth a visit!
