July 17 2004, Saturday, 10am-6pmTIRANA ARTIST, ANRI SALA, EXHIBITS VIDEO (WITH SOUND) INSTALLATIONS PLUS PHOTOGRAPHS ON THREE FLOORS OF PICCADILLY’S HAUSER & WIRTH GALLERYToday is the last day to see Tirana artist, Anri Sala’s current exhibition, housed on three floors of the Hurst & Wirth Gallery. The main gallery, as you enter the building, is where you have the chance to see the 2003 colour video, "Mixed Behaviour" (8 mins 17 seconds). Another of her videos is being shown in the basement vault – yes, the building used to be a bank, and the basement vault is still in place albeit empty of money. This video is the more recent and slightly longer, "Lakkat." (9 mins 44 seconds). On the first floor - still with its beautiful and original wooden-panelled features - you can see some of her black and white photography on baryte paper. Our favourite work is the former – the colour video, with the celebratory sounds and images. Go along and discover more. Well worth a look.
