DULWICH FESTIVAL BEGINS WITH INAUGURAL PEALING OF BELLS FOLLOWED BY FESTIVAL DEBATE, “MAKE POVERTY HISTORY” WITH SUPPER

The pealing of bells, at Christ’s Chapel, will signify the beginning of this year’s Dulwich Festival. On the same day, shortly after the pealing of bells have begun, a debate will take place at the Lindbury Room, within Dulwich Picture Gallery. The debate - to be chaired by BBC correspondent, Emily Buchanan – is entitled, “Make Poverty History.” Tickets are available in advance, from the St Barnabas Church box office. They cost £10 each and the price includes a post-debate supper. Note that the box office address is St Barnabas Church, Calton Avenue, London, SE21. It will be open just two hours (1.15pm to 3.15pm), each weekday, between May 9 and May 20.
