Week, according to the Wildlife Trust and, to help boost the number of
events around the country, the Natural History Museum’s Darwin Centre is
hosting a one day wildlife conference (chargeable, with booking
essential) alongside a wildlife fayre (admission free), for young and
old alike. According to the press information, received from the
gallery, the day, ‘will encompass a family fayre perfect for children of
all ages. Visitors will be able to pick up wildlife gardening tips and
visit a variety of stalls selling wildflowers, nest boxes and other
products. Join a team of experts in a series of practical workshops on
subjects from beetles to pond life.’ And, about the conference, running
alongside, the release goes on to say, ‘Be inspired by experts and
scientists from many of the organisations working for London's wildlife.
Scientists and gardeners
will be on hand to answer questions. Julie Toll, a Chelsea Award winner, will be
talking about creative and beautiful wildlife garden designs. Conference places
are limited to 120, so an early booking is advised.’ Sounds like an interesting
