Winn’s event – where the author is to sign copies of his book, “I Never
Knew That About England?” If you are interested, do get along to this
year’s Midsummer Carnival in Elizabeth Street. Many people, both old and
young alike, will have a chance to also enjoy London Amusements’ Coconut
Shy and Miles Philips’ Punch & Judy show. And those, who very young,
will probably be enthralled with the face painting sessions, hosted by
Aliya Lerwill. Before all these events, though, the going advice to
attend St Michael’s, for a 30-minute organ recital. If – like many
people - you fancy getting a good deal or winning a prize, then take
part in the silent auction and raffle, which will conclude at around
9.30pm.
It all sounds like the
regular Elizabeth Street carnival, which – going by past such occasions - should
be good! Proceeds this year go to help the Honeypot charity, dedicated,
according to their website, to, ‘improving the lives of severely disadvantaged
