series of Holland Park operas kicked off, early last month, with
Giuseppe Verdi’s “Macbeth.” This evening, and for another six days,
until the middle of the month, it is the turn of Gaetano Donizetti’s
“L’Elisir D’Amore.” The cast of this comic opera, based in France,
includes Alison Roddy as Adina, Sean Ruane as Nemorino and Toby
Stafford-Allen as Belcore. Promises to be entertaining, thanks also to:
conductor, Michael Lloyd; director, Annilese Miskimmon and designer,
Peter Rice.
