Another press release we are grateful for is one from Kew Gardens,
currently hosting its GlaxoSmithKline-sponsored exhibition, "Gardens of
Glass: Chihuly at Kew," exhibition. In one section, entitled, "Skate,"
is talks about its ice rink, which has been open since November 26 2005.
It says, `Skating is a traditional yuletide activity and one which has
become increasingly popular in London. Last year, Kew Gardens hosted an
ice rink for the first time and following its popularity, the rink will
be back this Christmas. Located among trees outside the majestic listed
Temperate House, this is a unique skating venue.' Sounds like fun, in
very pleasant surroundings!
