April 11 2006, Tuesday, 7pm, 7.25pm & 8pmCRISP ROAD GETS TRIPLE BILL OF CYCLING FILMS: “TOUR DE FRANCE – 1952;” LOUIS MALLE’S, “VIVE LE TOUR – 1962” & PEPE DANQUART’S ACCLAIMED, “HELL ON WHEELS”
If you enjoy cycling here is a triple bill of cycling films you will not
want to miss. Today’s weather forecast is for rain all day – unlike that
very fine day we had last Saturday. So, give your cycle tyres a break
and take a seat at Hammersmith’s Riverside Studios for what promises to
be an interesting series of cycling films. First, the short 25-minute,
“Tour De France – 1952.” Following this, Louis Malle’s 18-minute film,
“Vive Le Tour – 1962.” At 8pm, it is the turn of Pepe Danquart’s
acclaimed and subtitled, “Hell on Wheels” (2003, 123 mins). Cyclists,
relax those limbs and enjoy!
