April 13 2006‘OUT GO STEWS AND IN COME SUNDRIED TOMATOES AS FAMILY TASTES CHANGE,’ ACCORDING TO RESEARCH CARRIED OUT AND CONFIRMED - BY PRESS RELEASE - FROM FOOD RETAILER, SPAR
Exactly a week ago - on April 6 2006, Thursday - the supermarket chain,
SPAR, launched, according to their press release, of the same date, ‘a
whole new range of family-friendly products aimed at giving modern Mums
what they need to ensure happy and healthy kids.’ The release goes on to
talk about the research, which was carried out, ‘SPAR has been working
with Mums and researching what they want from a local grocer store. The
research showed that tastes have changed. Although still relatively
popular, traditional dishes such as casseroles and stews are loosing
ground and families now want more international cuisine such as basmati
rice, garlic and coriander naan and sundried tomatoes. All of these are
in the new range of SPAR foods. Because of this change in UK tastes,
SPAR, the UK’s number one convenience retailer, is today unveiling its
new range on own label food and wine.’
