April 2 2006, Sunday, 10am-6pm“THE VITALITY SHOW: THE ULTIMATE GIRLS’ DAY OUT!” CONTINUES WITH PLENTY OF ADVICE (E.G. EDUCATIONAL MINI HEALTH ASSESSMENTS, WITH HEALTHSURE)… HEALTHY EATING… ALONG WITH PRODUCTS FROM AUSTRIA, BRAZIL AND ITALY, PLUS – CLOSER TO HOME – SMELLS OF WILTSHIRE, ETC.
We recently visited, “The Vitality Show,” currently being promoted as,
“The Ultimate Girls’ Day Out!” And that is what it is…There are plenty
of tastings, samples and trials, for girls to try, on the ground floor.
On the upper level, be sure to book yourself in for a free 10-minute
“Mini Health Assessment,” being run by Healthsure. It is a chance to get
your blood pressure tested, as well as a number of other things, to
discover how healthy you really are. Fancy a break outside the UK? Well,
lovers of holidaying around Europe will do well to look at what the
Austrian Tourist Office has in store. From spas to walking holidays,
every health-conscious visitor seems to be catered for. And what about
things to wear? Well, in the two large arenas of fashion and fitness,
ensure you visit one new exhibitor at the show. It is the
Brazilian-inspired Cheshire-based fashion dotcom company,
“Run-Jump-Swim.” Visitors to the stand will have a chance to see and
learn all about Marcyn’s selection of lingerie. And, yes, whilst the
show is targeted at ladies there is still a lot that men can get out of
it. As most people like pleasant smells, Winchester’s Long Barn, which
provides lavender-based products (e.g. jellys, pot pourris, soaps, etc.)
should catch one’s attention. Finally, your attention is drawn to the
sponsors of this year’s event. They include: Waitrose; Live It!
Naturally; Healthsure; Discovery Home & Health; Avon Cosmetics and the
Italian-founded motor manufacturers, Alfa Romeo (UK). So, plenty on
offer to enjoy, and to encourage you to get healthy!
