Cash is hard currency (coins & banknotes) as oppose to cheques/money orders. When buying small items cash is preferred, by both the buyer and the seller. For larger items, it would be too troublesome and time consuming to pay by cash. In London, the best places to get cash are the High Street banks and bureau de changes, which are commonly found in and around bus, tubes and train stations. |
